Unwritten Rules Of Dating

Unwritten rules of dating; should we follow the rules to a tee, or should we pick and choose what rules to abide by when we feel like it? Regardless of whether you have been hurled back into the world of dating; or, you are an old pro there are a few rules of dating you should know. And, not the "wait three days before calling," kind of rules. I'm referring to unwritten rules of dating that actually work. Here're few clues:

First and foremost, never reveal unnecessary information about yourself. Mystery is the spice of life. Always refrain from comparing your date to past companions. It's better to be a great listener than a good talker. No one wants to be with a person who must constantly be the center of attention. If you are dating online try to limit the number of times you log on per day. Appearing clingy and desperate is a turn off, both on and off-line. If your date seems too controlling, aggressive, or quick-tempered "save yourself." Do not fall into an abusive relationship, regardless of how good a person make look.

Dating RulesOther notable dating rules that are no-brainer are that you should not propose marriage to your date on the first date. Not drooling while sharing a meal with your date is not far from the top of the "no," "no" list either. "No sex on first date;" is probably the one unwritten rules of dating some people more often would like to uphold but sometimes failed to do so once alcohol get introduced in to the mist.

There are also female specific rules, not because the only apply to girls. But, women are the common culprits to these dating crimes. Ladies, do not mention kids or marriage until you are at least 6 months into dating. And, do not compare your date to your father.

Unwritten rules of dating are here for a reason. These are rules that give us some ideas of how the games are supposed to be played. They allow us all to wade through the jungle of potential mates and hopefully find the right person. Good luck! and happy hunting.
